Morning Sickness.

Someone once told me that being pregnant is the most wonderful thing a woman can experience. I'm not sure if this woman was just lying to me, or if I have to wait this season out to find out. I have THE WORST morning sickness. It has really been interfering with my life. Seriously, every single morning, without fail, I throw up right after brushing my teeth. Going to work has been especially hard because I will be standing at the desk and be randomly overcome with nausea and have to run to the bathroom. Just two days ago, a man was using the BBQ outside and he came up to the desk with a plate of freshly grilled sausage. He started to ask me a question, but I had to excuse myself and throw up because I just couldn't stand the smell of sausage. My mom says that the morning sickness goes away in the second trimester, which means that I only have a month left (Yeah, ONLY a month!).
Anyway, I have heard A LOT of home remedies. Some of them work, some of them do not. Here has been my own personal experience with home remedies:

1. Eat Saltine crackers before you even get out of bed: This one has been a complete failure for me. The problem is that I eat them, then I get in the shower and brush my teeth and throw them up! I have a feeling this works better for women who are nauseous without vomiting.

2. Suck on a hard candy: This one works depending on the day and the flavor of the candy. Lifesavers definitely make it worse, but lemon drops seem to help.

3. Chew on crystallized ginger: This one is SO NASTY, but it actually helps. I hate the taste of ginger, but it really does help to settle my stomach. I even found this herbal ginger tea that really helped too.

4. Eat small meals throughout the day: This has probably been the biggest help to me. Even if I don't feel like eating, I just force myself to eat some bread or a banana and it seems to help the most.

5. Eat WHATEVER you crave: This one has also been a big help. For the most part I haven't felt like eating AT ALL and I have to force myself to eat, but the past couple days, I have really craved milk and cereal. Each time I eat what I'm craving, my nausea goes away. I craved french toast the other night and eating it was SO GOOD and it really curbed my nausea

6. Get some fresh air: This also helps me a lot. Just being outside or on a walk, helps sooth my stomach.

Anyway, those are the methods I have been trying. Today I'm going to try taking vitamin B6. I have heard that this vitamin really helps as well. Does anyone else know of anything else that helps ease morning (ALL DAY) sickness?
