Yes, its true. I am going to get a little political. I try and avoid this topic as it sparks much debate, but I need to. And I promise, this will be one of my only political blogs.
First of all, I need to talk about teenagers that rave about Obama all the time: As much as you wish you could go out there and mark "Obama, Biden" on your ballot, YOU CAN'T.... So please shut up. Seriously, this has been my annoyance since the beginning of this election. High schoolers think that it is trendy to hate president Bush and that its cool to like Obama because he is going to bring about some sort of "change" (whatever THAT means). So they post bulletins on Myspace, which I have to read, saying "F*** Mccain, go Obama."
I just want to say: YOUR OPINION DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING BECAUSE YOU ARE 15!
Sorry I needed to rant.
On another note, I watched the debate last night and it was very interesting. I really thought that Sarah Palin held her own. She really came across well. She had concrete examples (something she was missing in her Katie Couric interview) and she maintained that small town charm.
One thing I did notice was that when she started to talk about her small town back home, Biden felt the need to counter by talking about his small town back home. I found his stories a little harder to believe, mainly because he is not the middle class, no matter how much he would love you to believe he is.
I'm not sure if Sarah Palin is ready to lead or not. I really like her as a person, but I just don't know. That being said, I will still vote for McCain because I don't think Obama is ready to lead either (not to mention, he supports a woman's right to murder an unborn child, but thats another issue). Since Sarah Palin is not running for president and Obama is, Palin's inexperience does not bother me as much as Obama's. Being president is not the time for on the job training. McCain has experience.
I could go on and on about why McCain is the lesser of two evils in this election and why we should not vote for Obama, but I won't. My rant is finished.
