Unemployment.

Well, KBI had to cut budgets and do some lay offs yesterday and I got laid off.

So, I don't have a job anymore.

Surprisingly, I wasn't too sad. I didn't enjoy my job and often wondered why I was there in the first place. Many times, I thought that I was overpaid for what I did. It makes sense and I was looking for a way out.

Its at times like this that I see God's hand of providence in my life. This week, Gordon started working at the police academy. He is now making more money than the two of us made combined before. So I know we are going to be fine financially. I couldn't have imagined if this had happened while he was working at Home Depot. So I'm not worried about money, which is nice. I think that is partly why I'm not too sad about it. So anyway, I'm not sad or embarrassed or worried. I just want to put it out there so that people don't ask me about my job. I don't have one. And its OK because God is good and this is just another time to grow my faith.

at least you weren't underpaid in your old job!

Keep your eyes open for a new job Sarah, God will guide you where you should be. In the meantime I recommend doing as many free things as possible ;)

I'm glad Sarah-God bless you. This will be a good time for you to figure out what's happening with your body and get it worked out. Rest my sweet lamb! Auntie Val

gabe put in for a "volunteer" lay off. we should find out next week.. huge long story, but his company is not doing well, loosing lots of money and if he gets out now he will receive 4 months of pay and get a grant to go back to school (which he wants to do so badly) if he doesnt get out now he may not get anything in the months or year to come...

anyways, we will keep praying for your health issues and for gordon. take care ♥
